This Saturday, the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam is delighted to present to audiences in Ha Noi an energetic collaboration between Japan’s SOME≡LINEZ and B.NASHOR / BIG TOE CREW – one of Vietnam’s leading street dance crews.

SOME≡LINEZ is a Japanese performance trio that uniquely brings together Tsugaru Shamisen, beatbox, and street dance. The group features outstanding artists from each field: Shibata Masato, a multiple first-prize winner at national Tsugaru Shamisen competitions; TATSUYA, one of Japan’s leading beatboxers, a multiple competition champion and current President of the Japan Human Beatbox Association; and FLAVA, a street dancer known for his energetic freestyle style. Blending traditional Japanese sounds with contemporary street culture, SOME≡LINEZ has attracted around 900,000 followers on social media and performed in Japan and around the world, including at BEST ENKA/KAYŌKYOKU LIVE as part of MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026.

In Ha Noi, the encounter between SOME≡LINEZ and B.NASHOR / BIG TOE CREW promises to create a dynamic artistic dialogue between Japan and Vietnam. From the distinctive traditional sounds of the Tsugaru Shamisen and the rhythms of beatbox to the powerful movements of street dance, audiences will experience the intersection of cultural heritage and contemporary urban expression through the language of contemporary performance. The event is not only for the dance community, but also welcomes anyone interested in music, performing arts, cultural exchange, and new forms of artistic expression.
