Future of Tradition* would like to invite you to the Group Open-Studio: Why Stand?

“Open-Studio: Why Stand?” is a presentation of work-in-progress practices of 10 young artists who participated in the second phase of “Future of Tradition” project. Originating from the phrase “Tradition does not stand still” by musician Nguyen Xuan Son, the event indicate the movement, research and work with the traditional materials of 10 emerging artists.

During 3 days of presentation, artists will exhibit and work with their works-in-process after the process of working and exchanging with experienced contemporary artists and traditional art artisans. 10 young artists will show their own diverse practices demonstrating the effort to explore and experiment with indigenousness that always exists in each individual. In the spirit of open-studio, all the comments are welcomed.

PARTICIPATING ARTISTS: Thịnh Nguyễn, Lê Thu Minh và Nguyễn Diệp Thùy Anh, Ngô Thu Hương, Nguyễn Linh Trang, Ngô Thị Hải Yến, La Mai, Trang Linh Valerie Phạm, Nguyễn Quốc Hoàng Anh, Tuấn Nị, Trần Minh.

MENTORS: Curator/Artist Trần Lương, Musician Trần Kim Ngọc, Visual Artist Nguyễn Huy An.
