“the snail carries itself” is a series about independent experimental films from New York, hosted by film programmer Thuy Duong. The films in “the snail carries itself” carry the filmmakers’ ‘homes’ within itself, reflecting on displacement and departure. Through experimentation with film formats, sound design and editing, temporality and reality became fantastical, while adoration, nostalgia and concerns about patches of memory become crystalline and abundant in each frame.

With films from: Sim Hahahah, Lucas Kane, Roula Nassar, Cameron Granger, Shenghan Gao, Tashrika Sharma, Starr Jiang, Mars Verrone, Gloria Chung and Armon Mahdavi.
Note:
– Attendance is limited to 20 participants. After completing the registration form, you will receive an email verifying within 72 hours that you have successfully registered. (Please check your spam box or contact via PAN fanpage inbox in case you do not receive the confirmation email)
– Doors open at 7:00 PM for seating and drink orders.
– Doors close at 7:30 PM. Please arrive on time to ensure a smooth cinema experience.
– Outside food is not allowed.
– This is a non-profit program. All ticket fees is used for organizing the event.
