From the organizer:

As a part of VFCD’s track 03 – Living Laboratories, the event raises a question: How can architecture create space that remains open to life?

Join Ho Chi Minh based Japanese architect Sanuki Daisuke as he reflects on his practice here.

Faced with the city’s high urban density and rapid transformation, he sees architecture beyond the creation of objects but as the cultivation of “blank space” – open spaces that create opportunities for people to connect, adapt and interact freely.

Drawing from observations of Vietnamese street life, traditional tube houses and collective housing, Sanuki explores how activities, spatial thresholds and natural ventilation shape a adaptable architecture. Rather than imposing fixed functions, his work prioritizes preserving open spaces – allowing buildings to evolve in harmony with climate and daily rhythms.

Don’t miss this opportunity to discover new insights in urban architecture. Reserve your spot today!
