FROM THE TRADITIONAL TO THE AVANT-GARDE
Capturing the Rhythm of Vietnam
8th Annual Photo Exhibition by the
Hanoi International Women’s Club
The exhibition features images of Vietnam taken by their expatriate members living in Hanoi.
This year’s theme is meant to challenge participating photographers to expand their knowledge and vision of Vietnam. As always, photographers are attracted to Vietnam’s physical beauty, to her ethnic minority peoples and to street scenes of Hanoi. In addition, this year’s exhibition will feature photos that capture Vietnam’s quick pace of change, exploring what is innovative in the arts, youth culture, and society at large.
While giving members the opportunity to share their perspectives on life in Vietnam, the photo exhibition also serves to highlight the work of the Club in bringing attention to its humanitarian services.
“Our community aid projects are more than just giving a cash donation. We help build capacity and develop relationships and friendships with groups and individuals we fund, and share some of their hopes and dreams”.
Entry is free.
