International Documentary Film Week

Documentaries from Germany, Italy, Belgium (Wallonie-Bruxelles) and Switzerland will be screened in conjunction with their Vietnamese counterparts.

The International Documentary Film Week in Hanoi will show documentaries from Germany, Italy, Belgium and Switzerland together with current Vietnamese documentary films, creating the possibility for analysis of various approaches to the documentary form, for comparisons to be made, for discussions to take place.
The Film Week will end with the workshop Documentary films, a Companion in Life, led by the directors of the Belgian and Italian offerings, which will provide the opportunity for a deeper examination of contemporary documentary film.
