From Sàn Art:
”Shaping a line” is a group exhibition that seeks to elevate the skills of the draughtsman to a local audience that far too often relegates this skill as something for understudy, sketch or note-book taking only, casting these efforts aside as objects for preparation, as opposed to works of art in their own right. The artists in this show take reference from nature, fashion, architecture, opera, urban life and the graphic novel as conduits for their creations which grasp their chosen surface through pencil, ink, printmaking, silk painting, digital affect and much more.
