The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi would like to invite you to the exhibition of the eminent Polish landscape painter Franciszek Ryszard MAZUREK. The artist paints on canvas in a classic style. He concentrates on the beauty of the landscape of the Lublin region in Eastern Poland. His paintings teach us to be humble to the passing of time, they preserve the shape of the changing landscape characteristic of a particular place.

Born in 1951 F. R. Mazurek graduated from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Faculty of Fine arts. Since 1979 he has presented more than 30 individual exhibitions (in Poland, Ukraine, Germany, France, United Arab Emirates, Moldavia, Romania and Belgium) and participated in more than 11 group exhibitions (in Poland, Italy, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Russia, Romania and Hungary).

Works of Mr. Mazurek are accompanied by a note of romantic sentiment and awareness of irreversible changes following the rhythm of nature and civilization. Regardless of what the opinion of modern painting is, this type of creative activity is another confirmation of the role which realistic art plays in contemporary world.
