KVT at Mai with some old friends

Went to the Art Talk Café section of  Mai Gallery at 12 Quan Su to see a very good exhibition but on the way up to level 3 I was seriously waylaid by a lot of the paintings and sculptures I’ve seen around exhibitions and galleries over the past couple of years….particularly work by under 40ies and the up and coming.

What I like about the ethos at Mai is that younger artists and their work are represented and carefully displayed. In fact the prices at Mai for these younger artists is not really exorbitant at all, even after the commission that any commercial gallery has to charge if it is to stay in business.

If you’re after some nice art, even quirky art at not outrageous prices, I suggest that Mai should be on your agenda….but use the Quan Su street entrance for the type of work I’m talking about. Mai also represents the work of big timers too and often that section of the gallery can blow your head off too.

Anyway, here’s a bit of an overview of some of my old friends.
