KVT’s December Diary …27th… A Taste of Blue
A Xmas gift reminder about Le Quy Tong @ Manzi
A good friend who knows my predilection for blue and white, functional ceramics was at Bat Trang ceramic village over Xmas and bought me a gift that’s at the top of my thank-you list.
As I have been enjoying its presence my mind has been flickering with ideas about how I’ll construct an opinion piece about the blue and white exhibition at Manzi – which I’m putting off until the new year blazes through (or shivers through) and gets my creative juices flowing about the series of paintings on paper and canvas that makes ideal end of the year – or beginning of the year – viewing for people who like viewing good art.
So until then I’ll enjoy the bowl and plate and probably invite a few friends around on a cold, cold night to share a hot pea and ham soup that will swirl around its checkered depths until the star on the base reveals itself.
It’s on the menu (“True Blue” – not the soup) at Manzi until 11/01/16
