“Self Portrait” is the first exhibition by Hanoi Art 21.

Resulted from the meeting and art sharing at the end of July 2015, Hanoi Art 21 was founded as a platform for young artists to share and learn from each other.

Facing the big change and rapid development of information technology and internet, why is painting still attractive to 9x and late 8x generations? Does the romance and nostalgia from Ecole Superieure des Beaux-Arts de L’Indochine still inspire them?

The name Hanoi Art 21 is chosen randomly but partly reflected their spirit linked to Hanoi, with the nostalgia of the romantic silhouette and new vision of the young generation in the 21st century.

Once again why can art not merely be a means to express the beauty, exploration or new perspectives on aesthetics? (Do Tuong Linh)
