Preliminary

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.
(William Blake)

I. The world that we live in is filled with limits and limitlessness in space, time, in and outside our mind. The reality that we are now seeing is filled with things that can and cannot be understood, things that can be measured and those which are beyond the imagination, and things that can and cannot be seen. The world is thus amazing and obvious. Hence life is so interesting but illogical.

The world is a giant block of contradictions, inside its harmony. Limits and infinity themselves are also full of contradictions because there are limits within infinity and because infinity lies within limits as well. Every human being themselves is also filled with contradictions, between body and spirit, desire for happiness and sufferings. Limited and infinite.

Take a look at the world, in the limits, to see the infinity and above all, to understand it differently.

II. The artists participating in Month for Arts Practice-version 2nd will find ways to visually express their feelings about limits and infinity. They will try to change the surface, the limited spaces, and the specific images. They will put on those other factors so that limits no longer have borders. For example, the visual game of mirrors, light, or repeated shapes, or the idea behind pictures, or the artworks about mathematics, geometry, philosophy.

The purpose of this artistic practice is that artists will come to the visual world with the approach which is not merely visual. And to understand that reality is not only what they see. If they see the world with two eyes, the world will forever exist as a finite object.

They can then understand that art can become a means of expression and visualization of human needs which go beyond what they see. So far, art express the human desire explore the impossible. Thus art is the open door to infinity.
