HCMC – Exhibition “The Preparations”

The exhibition “Preparation” presents a collection of research that visual artist François Andès and pianist Luiz Gustavo Carvalho have conducted on the similarities and differences of religions in the world.

Part of the artist residency program “Villa Saigon” run by the French Institute in Vietnam, the two artists will carry out a performance which resembles a water puppet show, featuring original sounds recorded in HCM City and the Mekong Delta. Their final product, an animated movie entitled “Through a Disaster”, will be presented during the Mons International Love Film Festival 2018.

An exhibition of drawings by François Andès and the storyboard of “Through a Disaster” will take place at Salon Saigon on February 7, featuring piano performances and live painting by the two artists. The water puppets made by a Hanoian sculpture artisan will also be presented at the exhibition.

Interested participants can stay and discuss with the two foreign artists after the exhibition.
