OKIA Cinema comes back with an incredible film to welcome the summer!
With the Hanoi, Vietnam, world, galaxy, universe premiere of the short film Edison’s Coming-of-Age Ceremony, we are proud to become the first cinema in the world to present young director Pham Hoang Minh Thy’s brilliant ideas.
Edison’s Coming-of-Age Ceremony, a 23-minute film, will tells us about a world where everyone has a little green sprout on their head. Except for Minh – who has yet to sprout despite being a 10-year-old boy.
At the village where Minh lives, 18-years-olds are preparing for their coming-of-age ceremony, the moment when they will uproot the sprouts on their head to plan them and officially become adults. Trouble arises when Minh’s sister decides to keep the sprout, at all cost refusing to pluck it.

Learning from our experience, for the event to be well-organized, we ask you to register and arrive early – or you wouldn’t able to get the seats you want. We will arrange you a different seat if you arrive 20 minutes later than the show time.
– Parking for cars and motorbikes: At the yard of No. 6A, Alley 639; motorbikes and bicycles can also be parked at house No.10 right next to OKIA.
– Fee: just 50,000vnd and you already have a seat and a drink at the film screening. If you wish to have something to eat, feel free to order and purchase them at the counter. Every financial contribution will be used to prepare events.
