From L’Espace:

You are invited to a meet&greet for “Stray Dog” – a French manga series published for the first time in Vietnam – with artist RED. Guest speakers include:
– RED, artist
– M. Trung Nguyen, translator

“Bungo Stray Dogs” is a teen manga series by author Kafka Asagiri, illustrated by Sango Harukawa.

The story is about the unexpected encounter between Aki, an orphan girl, with Toru, a cursed red-eyed Lycan. Stray Dog takes us on a journey to discover again the legend of the Beast of Gévaudan! And watch out for the wolf…

VanRah created an incredible work by reconstructing the whole werewolf nostalgia, using familiar yet refreshing tropes for a unbelievable plot. The combination of the two fundamental colors: black and white – make for a strong visual effect. Its female author created a brand new, mysterious, enchanting world through the eyes of a Lycan – werewolf.
Within each Lycan is the endless war between the sides of human and demon. Using the eyes of demon to observe and the body of human to survive. Where is the truth of the world?

On the occasion of the book launch, Amak Books organizes a Meet&Greet with artist RED, a well-known name among young Vietnamese artists. RED was born in 1991 and is living in Hanoi. Having been interested in art since the age of 3, RED joined many art competitions on online forums. In 2014, RED published the first work named Tam nguyen (Wish). In 2017, RED left the job as a sales staff at an international corporate to become a professional artist. RED placed third and fifth at the Japanese Silent Manga Audition in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
