From the organizer:

You are invited to Vi Viet Nga’s first solo exhibition with 25 wooden paintings and a collection of 12 áo dài with graphic prints of the artist’s own works. Each painting of each ethnic group on the Vietnamese traditional costume expresses the love, the passion for art, and the spirit of each ethnic group’s identity.

Vi Viet Nga studied visual arts at Viet Bac Arts and Culture College. She graduated in 2005 and worked at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum. Being exposed to various artworks from many artists, her love for art grew even stronger. In 2007, she continued her studies at the Faculty of Industrial Design, majoring in Graphic Design at Hanoi Open University. She has participated in several art exhibitions with many artists. With the love for the traditional beauty in the costumes of Vietnamese women, in 2017 she attended the áo dài design class of designer Đỗ Trịnh Hoài Nam and wanted to put her own works the traditional costume with a brand new design cutting method to amplify the Vietnamese woman’s shape and thoroughly handle the shortcomings of the conventional sewing method.
