From the organizer:
On the occasion of Ô Cách Ciné premiering the film Tương Ngộ, to celebrate and create other possibilities of ‘tương ngộ (encounters)’ as well as continuing our shared interest in film, video and the moving image, Á sent out invitations to our friends: Nguyễn Hồng Quân, Quỳnh Chi, Đan Nguyễn, Nguyễn Vũ Trụ, Phạm Nguyễn Anh Tú, Nguyễn Thuỷ Tiên, Hà Lan, Linh Lê, Vũ Đức Toàn, Síu Phạm, Đỗ Văn Hoàng, a blur cinema, Hoa Quỳnh Cinema. What we received is far more than expected: a moving image week.
Each one of our friends has brought about a different perspective, interest, or encounter of life and film. Some present a selection of a specific genre to survey it, some introduce works from whom they love, some wish to share what they’ve been up to recently, some hope to question the framework of the cinema. ‘Tương tương ngộ ngộ cá kho tộ, ngộ ngộ tương tương đậu kho tương’? The program foremost wants to say hi to our friends, later wants to come to a visualization of each other through the screen.
In the week-long program there is union, but in union there is disunion. The mini moving image week ‘Tương tương ngộ ngộ cá kho tộ, ngộ ngộ tương tương đậu kho tương’ will also be the farewell to Ô Cách Ciné because it will disappear after the last day of the program.

The program will take place in 10 consecutive screenings as below. Details of each screening (including schedules, film synopses, artists’ biographies) will be gradually updated from now till the dates of the festival.

How to register:
– In order to reduce the logistical workload, online registration will not be applied for the course of this festival. We will only accept registration and purchase at door.
– In order to attend the screenings, you will need to fill out the form (which will go live in the next few days), arrive early at the registered time slots to reserve your slots.
