From the orgnaizer:

Holi is one of the most vibrant and colourful events in India. Celebrated on the full moon day in the Hindu month of Phalguna, which usually falls in February or March, Holi is a celebration marks the end of winter and the arrival of spring, the victory of good over evil, and the bonding of relationships.

On the day of Holi, streets and towns are covered in rainbow shower as people throw coloured powder into the air and smear them on others. Each colour bears a different meaning. For example, red represents love, passion and fertility, blue is the colour of Lord Krishna’s face and the sky and oceans while yellow illustrates knowledge and learning, symbolising happiness, meditation, and peace, etc. People also splash water on each other, whether by water guns or balloons filled with coloured water flung from rooftops. Over the year, Holi has become more and more popular and was adapted into several variations around the world. One of which is the Colour me run festival.
