From the organizer:
As part of the accompanying events for COMPLEX FEST 2024, Nghề Nghệ Art Fair has teamed up with Leap And Linger to bring you the Linocut Stamp and Printmaking Workshop – a unique artistic experience for those passionate about creativity and handcrafted printmaking.
Linocut, also known as lino print, is a manual printmaking technique derived from traditional woodblock printing methods. Using carving tools, artists can create patterns and shapes on a linoleum surface according to their vision. Once the stamp is inked, prints are made on paper or fabric. Each lino print is a one-of-a-kind artwork, showcasing personal creativity and holding high artistic value.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to carve your own stamp based on your original idea and create a lino print under the guidance of the Leap And Linger team. Additionally, you’ll get to delve into the origins of the linocut technique, hear stories surrounding lino prints, and explore various traditional printing papers such as Vietnamese Dó paper and Xuyến Chỉ paper, among others.
If you enjoy meticulous work, love art, or simply want to “unlock” a new skill, sign up for the Linocut Stamp and Printmaking Workshop to freely express your creativity and experience this fascinating craft!
