Norway Book Display in Hanoi

On the occasion of Norwegian Constitution Day May 17, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Vietnam will make a book donation to the National Library of Vietnam. The book display of “Introduction to Norway” will open to the public from May 14th to May 20th in Hanoi.
At the ceremony of book donation from Norway to be held at the Library on May 14, a DVD show of Norway and presentation on Norwegian Government’s Vietnam Strategy is also included. This will help the audience with a vivid sketch of Norway and its people as well as the bilateral cooperation between Norway and Vietnam.
At the total value of over 100,000NOK (equivalent to 321,000,000VND), most English-version books are newly printed in 2006-2008. The set of books, both fiction and non-fiction covers a wide range of topics, mainly introduction to Norway and areas of Norwegian expertise. For instance, history, culture, arts, literature, science and technology, information technology, economics, globalization, environment, research, social welfare, national resource management, oil and energy, maritime, governance, gender equality, social equity, development, and international law.
It is expected that the books will be useful to Vietnamese readers and that they will contribute to consolidating the friendly relations between the two countries.
