After the screenings in Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang, Japanese Film Festival 2010 will be held in Ha Noi and Hai Phong. 8 films ranging from classical masterpieces to latest ones will be screened.
The selected films this year remind us of the “flow of time,” ranging from the classical masterpieces of Akira Kurosawa & Kenji Mizoguchi, Rashomon (1950) & Sansho the Bailiff (1954) respectively, which depict people living in Japan 1000 years ago in Heian era (794-1192), to latest slapstick comedy Happy Flight (2008) by Shinobu Yaguchi in which airline & airport staffs are struggling with a series of troubles in one flight. 8 Japanese films in total will be screened with Vietnamese voice over.
