From André Lützen:
My new book “Public Private Hanoi” is printed and available in stores.
The photo sequence “Public Private Hanoi” is about the urban labyrinth of Hanoi by night. Hanoi is restless, busy, crowded. Breathless heat and cramped living quarters drive people onto the city streets.

Breathless heat and cramped living quarters drive people onto the city streets. With doors and windows flung wide open, domestic worlds spill out into the public arena. The private sphere overflows into the public space. The borderline between inside and outside dissolves. Flashes of intimacy and heady moods, resonant colour fused with physical proximity, and the constant rhythms of pavement narratives are transformed by Lützen’s camera into a complex fabric that lends almost palpable presence to life in Vietnam’s capital.
