From the organizer:

You are invited to the exhibition “Mở” (Open) by sculptor Luong Van Viet which features 16 medium and small artworks including two metal-mounted reliefs on lacquer foundation.

The basic personal needs in life as food, money, family and sex sometimes have to be hidden to show a person as perfect as possible.

Since graduating from the Hanoi Fine Arts University in 2002, Luong Van Viet always uses metal in his artworks. Finding a suitable material means finding the rules and handling way for the best works. This has been proven through his group and solo exhibitions: “Con đường của sắt” (The path of metal), “Cổng” (Gate), “Bình đẳng” (Equality), “Hội tụ” (Convergence).
