From the organizer:

Muong AIR Program provides facilities and opportunities for the professional development of artists from different art fields. As part of Muong’s Cultural Museum, Muong Studio organizes Muong Air Program.

In October 2015, we would like to welcome the three artists Marie Cabirou, Tom Snelgrove and Tor Archer.

Marie Cabirou is a costume jewelry designer based in Paris, France. She graduated from Institute Francais de la Mode, Paris, and has participated in events by Dior, Franck Sorbier, Christian Lacroix… During her residence section at Muong AIR, Marie will do a series of sketches that research on the culture, people and landscape of Muong land.

Tom Snelgrove is a visual and multimedia artist from New York, US. He graduated from Corcoran College Art and Design and Connecticut University. Tom has worked as an independent artist since 2001 and his artworks get inspired by the human body and through a journey to find himself; he is searching for a connection between human and life surrounding. This time, at Muong Studio, he has been researching about the features of the Muong’s culture and history, which become an impact for his multimedia artworks. Tor Archer is a sculptor from San Francisco, US. His large-scale outdoor sculptures are a combination between natural and industrial materials. At Muong Studio, Tor will challenge himself with all local materials. For more information, please visit his website.
