Call for Support Month of Arts Practice project of 2016

As you might know, besides all the creative events happening throughout the project Month of Arts Practice that lasts 6 weeks, around 30 artists participating in this project, both international and Vietnamese, are working together since the beginning to produce amazing artworks.
If you wish to see these amazing artworks in two grand exhibitions in Hanoi for yourself, for your families and friends, please support us! If you wish to create more opportunities for young Vietnamese artists to learn and create, be our backer!
The additional funding will allow us to organize 02 important exhibitions displaying all the artworks realized during the project and print 500 books about the project for educational purpose.

Buying sketches, vouchers, limited edition printed postcards and many more will back our project and support contemporary art in Vietnam!
Specifically, the funding we have now allow us to cover travel expenses, accommodation and art materials for the 12 featured artists. But we aim to raise another $8,500 which will allow us to:
• Organize 02 important exhibitions at Heritage Space Gallery and Royal City Square in downtown Hanoi which cost $2,000
• Publish 500 books and brochures about the project for the period of 2015-2016 with works of more than 40 artists, which cost $4000
• And support the materials for nearly 20 independent artists who volunteered to exchange, work and create art for the exhibitions, which cost $2,500
This year, apart from our 12 official artists, we were very surprised and happy to witness the engagement of many independent artists in Hanoi, especially young artists from diverse art fields such as Architecture, Film, Photography, Graphic Art, Performance, Music and Sound etc. Many international artists who are currently in Hanoi like Kasia Klon (Poland), Daniel Kerkhoff (United States), George & Ilza Burchett (Australia) and André Tempel (Germany) also came to participate. Well-known local artist groups like Nha San Collective, Queer Forever, Doclab and Manzi also expressed their willingness to collaborate, support and exchange with the artists of Month of Arts Practice.
Heritage Space believes that Month of Arts Practice will become an enormous motivation for the local creative community and will create memorable moments with public, through special events happening between artists and the public over the course of 6 weeks.

Heritage Space is a combination of an art gallery, a library, a concert hall, co-working office, residency space, artist studios and some open-stages, which has the capacity to host art exhibitions, music events, educational programs, multi-creative forms, artist-in-residency programs and others. Run by a group of curators, artists, researchers, musicians and architects, Heritage Space’s mission is to become a HUB for individuals and groups working on multi-disciplines from both inside and outside of the country to support and develop the creative industries in Vietnam.
