You are invited to the special film screening “Hòa cùng làn gió Việt” (Blend Into the Vietnamese Wind) in Da Nang and HCMC.
The film is a cooperation between Vietnamese and Japanese directors and actors/actresses, with the participation of director Omori Kazuki and main character Matsuzaka Keiko.
When teaching Japanese in Hanoi, Vietnam, Misao knew that her father passed away at her home town Niigata Prefecture, Japan. However, Mrs. Shizue, her mother was forgetful so couldn’t aware of her husband’s death. She was the second wife and has Misao only. After her father’s death, thinking about the situation that her old mother lives with step-children, Misao decided to take her to Vietnam despite of the step brothers’ objection.
After moving out and living independently for decades, Misao can live with her mother now. The film tells the story about Misao and her mother, the warm welcome of Vietnamese people toward them in spite of language barrier, as well as scenes romantic when Misao met Koizumi, her old friend. Misao take care for her mom dedicatedly with the love of surrounding people.
