Come with family and friends to this year’s HIWC Bazaar! Organized by the Hanoi International Women’s Club, this is our 25th annual bazaar in our 30th year! And to make it extra special, we’ve organized a Winter Wonderland experience.

Taking place on Sunday 27 November 2016 at St Paul American School – Splendora, 10am-4pm our much anticipated community event and family fun day out will include an international food fair, live music and shopping. Last year’s Bazaar attracted over 8000 people and we raised $107,000 for women’s and children’s charities in Vietnam. This year we are again hoping to raise US$100,000 for women’s and children’s charities in the Hanoi area.

It’s an ideal opportunity to catch up with friends, make new acquaintances, and perhaps learn a new word or phrase in a different tongue. It’s also a keen chance to see and admire some of the native and traditional dress of some of our HIWC members from such countries as Russia, South Korea, India, Austria, Kazakhstan, and South Africa, among others.

As many will attest, the over 40 renowned Country Community Tables offering gastronomic wizardry and thirst-quenching libations from around the globe are the most alluring aspect of the Bazaar. The Belgium booth, with its scrumptious potato fries and famous beer, never fails to have the longest lines and generate the highest sales. And almost nearly as popular are the tables helmed by Italy and Germany, respectively. The flavorful cuisines from Latino America, various specialties from warm Africa, mystic spices from India and Malaysia will bring you unforgettable experiences.

With the support of local businesses and individual embassies, countries industriously endeavor to provide cultural presentations, spanning from dance and musical performances to acrobatic masterpieces. Additionally, boutiques, booths and stalls are on hand to allow for an afternoon of shopping for unique and hard-to-find international crafts and wares. A perfect chance for seasonal and end of year gift shopping. Also, not to be overlooked, NGOs, educational and social enterprises will be present to raise awareness of their work and enterprises.

Kids are welcome at kids’ corner to enjoy entertainment designed especially for them with many educative and fun activities.
