Art exhibition “La sourire de la mutation” (translation: The smile of mutation) brings about a poetic perspective of Vietnam in its metamorphosis through artworks by three artists from France, Belgium, Vietnam and students from HCMC University of Fine Arts, and through participatory workshops for audience. The exploration of urban metamorphosis in a modern and multidisciplinary way is superimposed, questioning the transition between the past and the future.
What do we lose? What do we gain?
Within the framework of the Vietnam-France-Belgium cooperation, “La centrifugeuse” (The Juicer) project was started by Emmanuelle Vincent and Pierre Larauza (Cie Transitscape), Truong Minh Thy Nguyen, in collaboration with Mr Nguyen Van Minh, vice principal of HCMC University of Fine Arts. The project was created with the subjects of diversity and cultural identity, with a focus on culturalization. The project’s main activities include practice sessions and lectures amongst Vietnamese students and artists.
