You are invited to the documentary screening of “School of Babel” (France, 2014, 89 mins) directed by Julie Bertuccelli.
Film synopsis:
Julie Bertuccelli followed the days of a special class in Paris, welcoming foreign students from all over the world before they can join the normal French school system.
For a year, Julie Bertuccelli filmed the exchanges, conflicts and joys of this group of college students aged 11 to 15, gathered in one reception class in order to learn French. The students have just arrived in France. They are Irish, Serbs, Brazilians, Tunisians, Chinese and Senegalese… In this small theater in the world speak innocence, energy and contradictions of those teenagers who, animated by the same desire to change their lives, challenge many ideas on youth and integration and even hopes for the future…
Language: French with Vietnamese subtitle.
