From the organizer:
“The legend of mother” (1987) tells a touching story about a beautiful woman named Huong, a midwife at a hospital of obstetrics whose husband joined the army. She adopted three newborn babies who are the children of resistance officers and intelligence officers despite a lot of danger and challenges. The film also tells the story of silent sacrifices of female revolutionists who overcame danger and personal lives to fulfil their missions. When it comes to liberation days, Huong’s husband did not return as he sacrificed on the battlefield while her mother passed away. At that time, the single joy of a mother of three adopted children also gradually disappeared when they finally left for their original families…
The film won “Silver Prize” in the Vietnam Film Festival in 1988.
