You are invited to the exhibition showcasing the works of late artist Le Nang Hien – Zuy Nhat (1921-2014).
“Born into a Confucian middle-class family with moral obligations fused with Western neo-liberal school of thought in the 20th century, Le Nang Hien’s life was attached to the ancient capital Thang Long and the 1000-year-old Hanoi, absorbed the quintessence of this city and the social turbulence not many get to see in their lifetime.
“Nang Hien – Zuy Nhat” is his second solo exhibition after his death, with selected artworks made in the span of 60 years, made public by his family. The exhibition includes 67 works of his, in which 21 are silk paintings, 16 oil-on-canvas, 9 lacquer and several other chalk or watercolor paintings with classic theme such as young Hanoian women in the old days, portraits of friends and family members and the daily life scene.”
