This September, we will make a comeback with 3 short films, all of which have their own style, promising to bring a unique cinema experience to the Open Shorts series.

• Bo Hai

In 2017, Bo Hai was praised by Czech film critics as one of the best films not shown in cinemas. It was also awarded Discovery Script Doctoring Award at the Cottbus IFF, Best Director and Audience awards at the FAMU Film School Festival.

Synopsis: Seeking revenge for the assassination of his master, a guard charges into a fight to the death with the assassin. This is a well-constructed and eye-pleasing martial action movie, even though the film crew consists of high school students with a passion for martial arts, parkour and action movies.
• Apples & Oranges

Synopsis: Set in a Vietnamese community in Germany, “Apples & Oranges” tells the story of the peculiar friendship between “Harry” Bauer and Nguyen. A film about differences and similarities, and the question of who accepting whom.
