This is a well-rounded movie that offers state-of-the-art CGI — one of the first of its kind in French cinema — while keeping younger viewers captivated and remaining fast and funny enough to keep older viewers entertained.
In the depths of legendary Brittany, Aliénor de Canterville’s ghost is condemned to haunt his family’s castle and to scare away any new inhabitants. She fulfills this mission wonderfully, assisted by Gwilherm, her faithful servant. But when the Otis family, fleeing from Parisian life, buys the castle, Aliénor is upset that she doesn’t manage to frighten this 21st century tribe… Only fifteen-year-old Virginia Otis, moved by the Canterville ghost’s fate, will try to free Aliénor from the curse affecting her life.

10 short films screened throughout the years will be re-screen at the Annecy Festival in celebration of French animated movies.
Annecy International Animated Film Festival was created in 1956 and since then has become a space of rencontre for excellent animated movies in the world. The program consists of two screenings: one for children and one for adult. The 56th festival celebrates French animated movies, diversity, activeness and ambition.
