Heritage Space is proud to host the launching event of our annual project Month of Arts Practice, version 2018 with the theme VISIBLE / INVISIBLE.

Month of Arts Practice (a.k.a MAP) is an annual project of Heritage Space initiated by artist Tran Trong Vu, which aims to create space for composing, testing, practicing new art ideas, upon cooperation and interaction of international and Vietnamese artists.

MAP 2018 has the theme called “VISIBLE / INVISIBLE”. Participants are seven established international artists, seven young talented emerging artists in Vietnam. MAP 2018 also invites five art experts who are selected overseas curators, researchers, art critics and writers, those having rich experience in internationally art scene for years. Their participation will enhance the exchange, academics and professional quality of the project. Along with the creative activities, there will be a sequence of events such as Exhibition, Workshop, Studio opening, Roundtable Discussion, Camping, Art trip and Public program that are designed to engage arts and community.

MAP 2018 has two phases:
. Phase 1st is for Art Practice and Exchange, from October 1st to November 10th, 2018.
. Phase 2nd is the Grand Exhibition of MAP, opening from November 10th to December 9th, 2018.

Heritage Space is a combination of an art gallery, a library, a concert hall, co-working office, residency space, artist studios and some open-stages, which has the capacity to host art exhibitions, music events, educational programs, multi-creative forms, artist-in-residency programs and others. Run by a group of curators, artists, researchers, musicians and architects, Heritage Space’s mission is to become a HUB for individuals and groups working on multi-disciplines from both inside and outside of the country to support and develop the creative industries in Vietnam.
