You are invited to join two-session contemporary dance workshop with French dancing artist Alexis Jestin.
Alexis will introduce the way of gaining knowledge and self-awareness through the body. Discovering your flexibility, agility while lightening the senses and imagination. Raise awareness of physical weaknesses and improve though instinctive movement find freedom connected to the group and universality.
He will also brings a playful approach of the risk and physical commitment: how we find the friction of the proximity with our bodies and periphery, in improvisation or with precise material, keeping the full volume of the dance and an intense velocity, with awareness and total control, moving to 360° space and going into it for a while!
ALEXIS JESTIN has had over 12 years of experience as a professional contemporary dancer, assistant and pedagogue working and collaborating with the internationally known choreographer Emanuel Gat, artists such as Yuval pick, Angelo Llacono, Frederique Celle, Kevin jeans, Moritz Ostruschnjak, Irad Mazliah, Nicolas Hubert, Shi Pratt, Herve Robbe, Rachid Ouramdane in France, Italie, Israel ,Poland, Germany, Switzerland and Norway. His personal creation “Look What The World Did To Us is the realization of videos dances conceptualized with the visual artist Mathieu Zurcher and the composer Labyrinth. He is currently teaching at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine d’Angers directed by Robert Swinston (former rehearsal director of Merce Cunningham, director of the Merce Cunningham Trust and Merce Cunningham Dance foundation from 2012). He is also teaching and directing the rehearsals at the Warsaw Dance Department in Poland from 2015.
