From the organizers:
You are invited to the exhibition “Vu Trung: Lacquer is lacquer” by Vu Trung.
Excerpt from the exhibition introduction:
“…So what will we audience see in an exhibition with such a short name, simple as ever from the artist: ‘Lacquer Is Lacquer’. Is it so that the destination of the artist is the sea, the sky, or the field, the lagoon, the moonlight, an eclipse night, or a lotus swamp in the winter, or a snowy forest where he traveled through leaving feelings deep inside him. And if we can see them with our own eyes, will our consciousness be “drawn” as quick as a spark, which could be compare with a symphony of separate movements… yet abstract, without a single word?
See it with your own eyes, let it touch your soul, then a million times listening will help make it clear. The contrary between paintings and music is that we can never see it if we choose the ‘virtual way of life’!!!”
