You are invited to the talk show “Picasso – A Revolution in the History of Paintings”.
Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) is considered the greatest artist of the 20th century. Although classically trained, he always sought to go beyond the external appearance to reach the deepest part of human beings. From realistic portraits to cubist and surrealist portraits, through the Blue and Rose Periods, Picasso’s works remains a permanent question. The artist also engaged in peace and freedom, known throughout the world for his painting “Guernica” denouncing war and for his drawings of white doves. Many exhibitions that taking place in recent years, particularly in France, testified Pablo Picasso’s immense creativity, who revolutionized the art of painting in the 20th century.
Speaker: Jacob Reymond, painter. His studio is located in Vauvenargues, not far from the Château de Vauvenargues that Picasso bought in 1958 – which is also the final resting place of the great artist, at the foot of the Sainte Victoire mountain famous throughout the world for Paul Cézanne’s painting, who Picasso considered his master.
