In indigenous art practices, the use of “traditional materials” is very common. However, the misconception and use of tradition only as a material in art creation, or in any cultural activity, will cause certain gaps.

What are those gaps? Why on the creative path, Tradition is not only Material, but also plays the role of Spirit? And what is “Traditional Spirit” in artworks? We would love to invite you to listen and discuss with Tran Luong, one of the most influential Curator/Artist in the Vietnamese contemporary art community.
