Introducing The Painter’s Gallery by The Painter’s Studio, we offer Hanoi’s art students, emerging artists the opportunity to curate, install, and sell their own work in a professional setting.

Vàng Son Vóc Thép is a lacquer exhibition featuring works by seven young artists studying at the Vietnam University of Fine Art. More than thirty art works will be showcased consisting of traditional folk theme paintings, experimental works as well as demonstrations showing the process of completing a traditional lacquer painting.

Vàng: gold leaf, Son: vermilion red from cinnabar, Vóc: lacquer panel, Thép: lacquer brush. These are the four most important elements in lacquer art. Our goal is to use art as a way to connect the community and give young artists the confidence to express their aesthetic paths.

The exhibition opens Friday July 26th and runs until August 9th.
