From the organizer:

With the wish to build a bridge between Vietnamese community and the Vietnamese diaspora through the music of Bolero, and furthermore connecting with other communities world wide, Vietnamese British artist Moi Tran has returned to Vietnam to work on the project The Bolero Effect and established ENSEMBLE 1.1.

We are looking for 30 participants (over 18 years old) from different disciplines, communities and ages with the love for social works and sharing the passion for music, arts and theatre. We particularly want to engage in people who have an interest in Bolero music.

Together with the ensemble, Moi Tran and other local artists will work together to create a unique multidisciplinary performance in a site specific venue. The performance will include Music, Singing, Movement, Theatre and Text.

Rehearsals will take place twice per week from 8pm to 10pm on Thursdays and 2pm to 5pm Sundays weekly. The first stage the project will start from 13th October and will finish with a final project in Hanoi on 30th November 2019.

Auditions will be conducted on October 13th after an initial selection.
