From the organizer:
Curating Futures: Leading Vietnam’s Museums Transformation is a forward-thinking symposium that explores the future of curatorial practice and leadership in Vietnam’s cultural sector. This condensed half day event brings together bold ideas, practical approaches, and dynamic discussions for both established museum professionals and emerging creatives. Designed to foster innovation, address institutional challenges, and promote community driven exhibitions, the symposium contributes directly to UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities).
Featuring prominent stakeholders in both public and private sectors, the symposium will provide diverse and comprehensive discourses on the trajectory of sustainable curatorial practices in Vietnam and globally. The program is designed and led by Culture Sector, UNESCO Office in Ha Noi and Associate Professor Jane Gavan from University of Sydney.
Curating Futures: Leading Vietnam’s Museums Transformation is one of the workshops in the symposium series within of the Hanoi Festival of Creative and Design 2024 from 09 – 17/11/2024.
