From the organizer:

The exhibition “The Blue of Now” by artist Nguyễn Minh Quang (Andy Nguyen) an artistic concept that envelops the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts in a primal blue hue through more than twenty paintings and sculptures.

The works in this exhibition are rooted in the monochrome art that Quang began experimenting with in the early 2000s and has since formally developed using oil painting techniques starting in 2009. This time, they are reinterpreted in the tangible space of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts, spanning across three disciplines: painting, sculpture, and spatial art.

The monochrome blue in Quang’s works serves as a serene pause amid the vibrant hues of contemporary Vietnamese art. Each expression, glance, and smile in “The Blue of Now” seems to hypnotize and lead the audience toward an infinite realm of artistic tranquility. The exhibition invites us into moments of stillness, helping us rediscover balance amid the fast-paced rhythm of market-driven life. It reflects the artist’s profound contemplation of humanity and society, with the hope that this perspective can resonate with the hearts and minds of art lovers.
