Cia. Bachiana Brasileira Symphony Orchestra was established in 1999 in Rio de Janeiro following the idea of conductor Ricardo Rocha. Since then, the Orchestra has developed many musical projects and participated in a lot of national and international concerts.

Cia. Bachiana Brasileira Symphony Orchestra is highly appreciated in Brazilian stage thanks to their high quality music expressed in compositions that go across the colonial period of Brazil, European Baroque and contemporary music.

As the conductor of Cia. Bachiana Brasileira Symphony Orchestra, Ricardo Rocha has played an important role in the music scene of Rio de Janeiro. Their preformance in Germany “Brasilianische Musik im Konzert” created deep impression on Brazilian music among European audience.
