Nora Bibel and Marei Wenzel exhibiting in Hue
Opening: Sun 06 Jun, 3 pm
Exhibition: 07 – 13 Jun, 8 – 11 am & 2 – 5 pm everyday
An Dinh Palace
179 – 181 Phan Dinh Phung St., Hue
Nora Bibel and Marei Wenzel took photographs of the An Dinh Palace in April 2009 for the publication “An Dinh Palace – Hue’s Hidden Pearl”, which has been officially launched in Vietnam. The book is now online here. At the same time, the two artists will have an exhibition of free photographic works, which they realized in Vietnam.
Another “Germany in Vietnam 2010” event. See our Feature Page for info on more events celebrating German Year on Vietnam.
Nora Bibel’s photographs pursue the question of what “Home” – “Que Huong” means to Vietnamese people who have lived, sometimes for many years, in Germany, and have now returned to Vietnam.
Marei Wenzel was struck on her first visit here by the dramatic changes wrought by Vietnam’s extreme climate. Under the title, Moc Moc, she examines Vietnamese interiors.
Please note: Take the south entrance of An Dinh Palace for a free visit.
In conjunction with the exhibition, there will also be an artist Talk on 10 June, 3 pm at An Dinh Palace.
