A discussion with the participation of experts Nguyen Thi Minh Thai, Tuong Duong will be held at L’Espace. The Westernization of Vietnamese theater is a process that takes place in Vietnam during the 20th century. Starting from Hanoi, it quickly spreads to major cities in Vietnam together with the appearance of large theater with French architect and built by the French such as the Opera House in Saigon, Hanoi and Haiphong. In the first half of the 20th century, this process is self-study, self-formation on all aspects drama category. In the second half, every aspects of Vietnamese drama is formally trained. Before the Westernization of theater, Vietnam has a traditional theater background with the history of thousands of years. Therefore the integration of Western culture plays a major cultural achievements of the modern theater of Vietnam.
