Come and enjoy listening to the Yards Dogs – a Rock ‘n Roll band composed of local players, both Vietnamese and long-term expats. The band has been around for years, in various different permutations, even Big Ed and Ian from ‘The Props’ have been occasional members. The driving force behind the band is artist and Rock ‘n Roll enthusiast Simon ‘Otis’ Redington (vocals and guitar) and the current line up includes:- Mike ‘Mad Dog’ Small (vocals and lead guitar), Mr Huy ex-‘White Eagles’ on Bass and the band is stoutly backed up on drums by Mr Tung.

The band ‘don’t get out much’ the last time they played live together was at the ‘Music Movie Meltdown‘ last May at the Hanoi Cinematheque. However you might have caught them playing under the short-lived name of ‘Nguoi Hanoi’ rocking out the Hanoi Rock City on a wet and miserable Friday night in January. If you’ve ever hung around too long at the R&R Tavern you will have certainly heard them working out upstairs…
