You are invited to a music night with compositions from three of the most famous composers in Vietnam who are often referred to as “three most salient figures of modern (non-classical) Vietnamese music”.

Van Cao was the composer of the official national anthem of Vietnam, while Pham Duy contributed more than a thousand songs combining folk with modern melodies, and Trinh Cong Son was named “Vietnam’s Bob Dylan” by Joan Baez. Their music has been loved by many generations of Vietnamese.

Knowing about these three figures and their compositions will help anyone understand a lot about music in Vietnam, especially the important period before, during and after the war.
