From the organizer:

“Onward and Upward” features works by 17 artists who continue to define and shape the contemporary art landscape in Vietnam. Whether realized through painterly abstraction, whimsical drawing, trompe l’oeil sculpture, digitally woven photography or kitsch motorbike decal collage, the works in this exhibition are equally as diverse thematically. Historical memory and loss, cultural difference, urban space, nature and human, identity, power and rebellion are among the varied themes in the show.

The participating artists are Thierry Bernard-Gotteland, Tiffany Chung, Nadege David, Thien Do, Ha Manh Thang, Hoang Duong Cam, Sandrine Llouquet, Nguyen Manh Hung, Nguyen Phuong Linh, Trong Gia Nguyen, Nguyen Thanh Truc, Tuan Andrew Nguyen, Phan Quang, The Propeller Group, Tran Van Thao, Truc Anh and Lien Truong.
