From Goethe Institut:
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of German-Vietnamese diplomatic relations the Goethe-Institut, in collaboration with the art association Haus am Lützowplatz (HaL) in Berlin, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Hanoi, is presenting selected works of a new generation of German artists. The exhibition which was hosted by the Goethe Institut in Hong Kong until mid-April under the direction of Gabriele Gauler now comes to Hanoi.
The curator Dr. Marc Wellmann will give a guided tour through the exhibition whereby he presents the six artists and their positions in contemporary painting. Dr. Marc Wellmann is art historian and art director of the Haus am Lützowplatz (HaL) in Berlin.
The curator Dr. Marc Wellmann will talk in his lecture about the curatorial practice in contemporary art and his work as art director of the art club Haus am Lützowplatz (HaL) in Berlin.
The exhibition shows the works of six artists which already achieved an excellent reputation worldwide. They will present their positions to the contemporary art scene; all of them refer in different ways to well-known elements of art history.
The result is manifold and ranges from large-formatted figurative painting and architectural forms up to smaller scale cabinet pieces on wood.
