Music Night with Gede Robi from Indonesian grunge rock band NAVICULA

Gede Robi, lead guitarist and vocalist of one of the top Indonesian grunge bands – Navicula – will be in Hanoi with Joe Cummings from Love Bone – a Bangkok-based hard driving blues outfit, teaming up with funk bass player Daniel Eiland. The trio pump out a hard driving set of classics, originals and contemporary electric guitar sounds with strong vocal stylings from Robi.

Having played in Thailand (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pai), Myanmar (Yangon), playing solo in Phnom Penh and on regular tour in his home Indonesia, Robi is a crowd connector and any performance he gives is fun, funny and interactive with the audience who respond to his somehow cheeky delivery and soulful renditions of tunes from Placebo and Meat Puppets, just as enthusiastically as they do the rock hard originals and covers from the Velvet Underground to Pearl Jam.

Gigs in Hanoi will be followed by gigs in Hoi An at Soul Kitchen and Minsk in Da Nang…

Joining the rock and roll spirit will be local bands and musicians. The Lola Zolas and Tips Lips are already confirmed to play a set, it’ll be an awesome night!
